Agile / Scrum

I have extensive Agile software development experience – as a Product Owner and as a development team lead, delivering working software that meets complex, challenging requirements.

  • Professional Scrum Master (PSM1) certified.
  • Coaching of scrum teams to adopt and refine scrum methodologies
  • Facilitation of stand up, retrospectives, planning and other scrum events
  • Requirements gathering, grooming of product backlog, refinement of scrum artefacts

By way of example, this portfolio website has been developed following Agile software development principles, with a backlog of stories leading to a minimum viable product (MVP).

The project stories have been managed in PivotalTrackerTM, illustrated in the following screen shot.

I've used other tools to engage stakeholders and team members on Agile projects.

These include phyical Kanban task boards, and other on-line tools / software including Trello and Smartsheet.

Online tools have definite advantages when team members and stakeholders are not located in the same physical location, or work different hours. The principles are similar however, giving transparency over requirements, priority, ownership, sizing and status of tasks.
